Fishing, Green Shoots, and Ducks

Fishing Trip
Went for a spin in the boat on Saturday.
As I headed out of Camuscross Bay I was beckoned by a fellow mariner who’s boat was on it’s mooring.
On coming alongside I was afforded the heartiest of welcomes and offered the finest hospitality (a cup of tea).
Local matters of the utmost importance were discussed at great length and future manoeuvres planned.
A while later I let go fore and aft and headed for the fishing grounds South of the Tartar Rock.
I don’t think I exceeded my quota.
Green Shoots
In these times of economic uncertainty it’s encouraging to see the slightest hint of growth in the housing market.
The only green shoots to be seen recently, however, have been those growing over a ‘House For Sale’ sign outside a local property.
Indian Runners
The latest arrivals have setted in well to their new surroundings.
They’re quite an unusual breed of duck in that they stand almost upright.
They’re not too fussed for swimming but are quite happy if they can wash their faces.
Hopefully, we’ll get some eggs eventually.
