The Archaeologist

by Lachie Strummer - 12:04 on 09 April 2010

Rush
Aye, you know Spring’s in full flow when you can’t see the grass for rushes!
Is there any species of mammal out there that regards the rush as it’s staple diet?
If there is then please let me know.

The Archaeologist
Another sign of Spring is when ‘the archaeologist’ appears, as he did last week.
Apparently, he’s keen to do a dig on some of the ruins on Baravaig which should be very interesting.
He’s not too keen, though, when enthusiastic crofters turn up wielding spades, picks, or even small excavators!
He prefers the more methodical approach using a trowel the size of a soup spoon so that any artefact, no matter how small, can be collected.

Break
It’s good to be back in the saddle, so to speak, after an enjoyable Easter break.
There’s been no shortage of Easter bunnies running around Cruard recently.
The wee buggers must be breeding like rabbits!
