Housing

by Lachie Strummer - 12:57 on 22 March 2010

Riddle Me This
Yesterday I collected 5 eggs from the hen house.
9 eggs for the previous 2 days.
I have 4 hens and a cockerel.
I’m not complaining but I’m starting to wonder if the ‘cockerel’ is actually a big hen in drag.

Construction
Work continues this week on the affordable housing for pigs.
I’m sure Sir Norman Foster himself would be proud to be associated with this project.
As Kevin McCloud might say ; ‘It’s more than just a home – it’s a living, breathing space that blends in perfectly with it’s surroundings. It works on so many different levels.’
To be honest, I’d say ‘It’s 4 fence stobs hammered into the ground, some old corrugated iron sheeting, and some 4 inch nails.’

Police Box
Some talk of acquiring an old Police Box as an outlet for local produce.
It seems like the perfect answer since it would be so much bigger inside than out – there could be metres of shelving for fresh fruit and veg etc and possibly a boating/fishing section for the forthcoming season.
I’m all for it.
