Mobile Ducks

Dial ‘M’ for Murdo
I hear talk of a local phonebook being created for Camuscross & Duisdale townships.
Sounds like a useful idea.
It’s a pity that mobile phone reception’s so patchy, though.
In this age of global communication it’s not ideal having to hang out a Velux window head-first in order to get a signal.
Oh aye, and as for the so-called ‘Information Super Highway’ ; in this part of the planet we’re still on the ‘Information Single Track Road with Passing Places and the occasional Pot-hole’!
Duck
I couldn’t help observing a bit of amorous activity recently in the duck pond.
The mallard drakes seem to be making whoopee with their female counterparts. (It’s amazing what you’ll watch when there’s not much on TV)
Anyway, it can’t be easy for a duck to come up with a romantic sounding chat up line when it’s basically various sentences composed solely of the word ‘quack’!
Allergy
On a medical note I’ve recently discovered I have an allergy to rice, of all things.
Aye, the doctor says I’m Basmatic.
