Yachties and Square Meals

by Lachie Strummer - 10:22 on 18 February 2010

‘Yachties’
Come on, what are they like?
One good thing about Winter is that a chap can wander into Isleornsay Bar for a quiet pint without the constant murmur of people in white wellies and red ‘wetties’ droning on about Crinan, Jibs, and the friggin’ Mishnish.
Bring back keel-hauling!

Three Square Meals a Day
This is something that’s always confused me.
What does it matter what geometric shape your food comes in as long as it’s of decent nutritional value?
I’m tempted to try a triangular breakfast,  hexagonal lunch, and a parallelogram tea.
Maybe throw in a wee rhombus late night snack if I’m still a bit on the peckish side.

Antique Show
Getting geared up for the Crofter’s Antique Show in the Talla Duisdale tomorrow night.
I was going to take some of the old Jethro Tull albums along.
Apparently, though, they don’t want anything as old as that ; they’re classed as ‘pre-antique’!
