We’ve been constantly told this week by TV’s finest weather forecasters that ‘Autumn’s definitely arrived’.
I should blinkin’ well hope so, we’re almost half-way through October!
Don’t they know it arrived here in mid-August?
Come Home To a Real Fire
I got speaking to a couple from North Wales who were staying in a holiday cottage for a week.
Heck of a nice people, they were.
Only thing they don’t like about this place is the number of holiday homes.
‘Back in North Wales matey, know what we do with holiday homes? We burn em’ to the ground!,’ the chap said.
He sounded a bit like Tom Jones.
Thankfully, his wife reminded him that they had rented a holiday cottage in Skye for the last 12 years so maybe the idea of promoting arson wasn’t particularly appropriate.
