Tae Kwan Do

by Lachie Strummer - 19:17 on 07 April 2009

Tae Kwan Do
Aye, there’s no doubt we definitely live in a more violent society.
Highland Council, along with various other bodies, have laid on free lessons in this ancient Korean martial art for Gaelic speaking youngsters.
The 2 day event is to be held in Stirling in May.
Tae Kwan Do, apparently, translates as ‘the way of kicking and punching’.
Township meetings should be much livelier events in coming years!

Boat
Went for a spin down  to the Tartar at the weekend.
Dropped a darrow over the side but not much doing.
Maybe it’s time to look out that net.......

Think yourselves lucky - my elder daughter Fiona was the first girl in this city to get a black belt in 'Tae Kwan Do' - after which I tended to agree with everything she did including naming her daughter 'Alisia Skye'! Haven't had a foot up at my chin since.
