Lost and Found
I was recently reminded of the story of a Saasaig crofter who hadn’t seen his beloved cat for a while.
Picture the scene.
With the onset of Spring it was time to give the barn its annual clean-out.
Empty feed bags, mouldy hay etc were duly discarded. Burst mooring buoys, cardboard boxes, rock-hard paintbrushes were all given the heave.
Eventually, with the job almost complete, just some heavy wooden planks leaning against the back wall required sorting out.
Just as the last 2 planks were lifted what came into view to his great surprise;
one freeze-dried cat, well beyond the resurrection of the finest vet.
Flat as the proverbial pancake!
Sometimes 9 lives just aren’t enough.
